Amara’s Law states: “We tend to overestimate the effect of technology in the short run and underestimate the effect in the long run.”
Over the past few days we saw Clawdbot go mega viral, cause tons of security problems, lead to crypto scams, and even go through 3 name changes.
Perhaps we overestimated and moved to fast?
Perhaps there is too much hype?
Look at these 2 examples from my YouTube channel.
1 person says AI is all hype..

Then next person says it’s fundamental..

So what is it? Is AI smoke and mirrors or is it just hype?
I think 2 things are happening here.
Overestimating short term, and underestimating long term (Amara’s Law)
Fear
AI fundamentally changes the way we interact with the world. It’s uncomfortable. It’s says, adapt or die.
We can’t predict exactly where things are going, BUT I do know the skills I have today, aren’t enough for tomorrow.
This year, I learn knew skills.
This year I surround myself with the right people.
This year I level up.
I’ve already started!
In fact, I started last year! I’m learning from fortune 500 marketers, testing new AI, and doubling down on YouTube.

A new YouTube strategy changing lives
I don’t say this to brag, I say to this to prove a point.
Self development is about execution.
How will YOU level up this year?

Amazon Cuts 769 Bay Area Corporate Jobs

Amazon has announced plans to eliminate about 769 corporate positions in the Bay Area this spring, according to state filings submitted for compliance with layoff reporting rules.
These reductions are part of broader workforce adjustments tied to organizational restructuring and the company’s evolving use of automation and digital tools in corporate roles.
Many of these jobs are tied to internal support, office operations, and administrative functions where Amazon is increasing reliance on automated workflows and AI-driven systems to handle routine tasks.
Read more here.
The Update:
Amazon’s Bay Area cuts target corporate coordination roles where approval routing, documentation, and internal communication are already handled by workflow systems.
The pressure here is on roles responsible for moving information between teams.
PRO TIP: Relationships MATTER. Take 5 minutes this week and call someone you respect, but haven’t spoke to in awhile.
AI Stock Watch
Broadcom (AVGO) | $308.05*
Broadcom is seeing sustained demand for AI networking chips and custom accelerators used by hyperscale data centers. Technically, the stock is consolidating above major moving averages after a pullback, which suggests institutional support remains intact.
Micron Technology (MU) | $379.40*
Micron benefits from strong demand for high bandwidth memory and DRAM used in AI servers. The stock trades above key support levels with momentum cooling slightly after a strong earnings driven rally.
Bitcoin (BTC) | $71,140*
Bitcoin is consolidating near the $70K level as liquidity tightens across risk assets and correlation with large tech remains elevated. From a technical view, price remains range bound with buyers defending support but no confirmed breakout yet. Bitcoin remains highly volatile dropping nearly 40% over the past year.

Oracle May Slash 30,000 Jobs to Fund AI Expansion
Rumors surround Oracle considering workforce cuts of 20,000 to 30,000 jobs to free up capital for a massive expansion of AI data centers.
The potential cuts come as rising borrowing costs and reduced bank lending complicate Oracle’s capital strategy for building out infrastructure.
The reductions would represent one of the largest labor adjustments in the company’s history, part of efforts to realign spending toward AI infrastructure while navigating financing headwinds.

OpenClaw (Clawdbot) Is Gaining Attention
The autonomous AI assistant formerly known as Clawdbot and then Moltbot has now rebranded to OpenClaw, gaining viral attention as an open-source agentic system that executes complex user tasks via connected apps and platforms.
Popularity has soared as the agent can automate scheduling, messaging, research, and cross-platform workflows without repeated prompts.
Alongside explosive adoption, security researchers have flagged serious vulnerabilities related to exposed access tokens, authentication bypass risks, and unsafe default configurations that could allow attackers to exploit the agent’s control interfaces.
The Update:
Powerful autonomous assistant software can automate work, but it can also create risks if deployed without safeguards.
Be aware this is coming, proceed safely, and experiment appropriately
