32,000 Jobs Cut In November As Payrolls Contract
HR & Customer Service hit especially hard
ADP reports that 32,000 jobs were cut in November, the largest monthly decline since Spring 2023.
Wallstreet had predicted a gain of 40,000 jobs…
Employers continue reducing roles tied to repeatable processes as automation expands across operations, support and administration.
At the same time, output expectations remain high. Teams carry increased workload with fewer people across multiple sectors.
The Update:
We’re moving away from a jobs market and moving into a “problems” market. You’re only as valuable as the problems you solve.
Think about it this way, if you had a job managing MySpace ads, would you find much work right now?
No! No one needs to run ads on Myspace.
What you can do is migrate that skill to running Meta Ads.

Creative authority remains tightly guarded at this level while automation continues across production support roles.
The Update:
It’s clear AI is impacting everything from written word, to music, to video.
This has resulted in a tremendous amount of “AI slop”.
Personally, I believe we will hit a point where people grow tired of AI and hunger for authentic human content.
That said, AI is an incredibly powerful tool for video production, and can save studios millions in production costs.
I’ll be waiting anxiously to see the ROI from Cameron’s next project.
