On one hand, I think it’s important to be skeptical.
There are many marketers selling “AI” as the solution to all your problems.
On the other hand, it’s important to recognize the time we’re in.
AI IS changing the world.
I really believe the world is being separated into 2 types of people.
People trying to swim in the AI tsunami
People surfing the AI tsunami.
Yes, it’s good to be skeptical, but at a certain point we need to get of the bench.
Our families need us.

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok was briefly removed from X before reappearing without its verification badge and with an inappropriate video pinned to its profile. The bot gave mixed explanations, citing technical glitches and hate speech reports, while Musk dismissed the incident as a dumb mistake.
AI Threatens 45% of White Collar Jobs
JPMorgan is warning about a “jobless recovery” because AI is getting good at the kind of work most white collar employees do. These jobs make up about 45 percent of US employment.
We are talking about roles built on reports, spreadsheets, presentations, analysis. AI can do a lot of that faster and cheaper. Even with unemployment holding around 4.2 percent, job growth slowed in July.
That is your early warning. This is not a seasonal slowdown. This is a permanent shift in how companies run.

Pick one repetitive task you do every week and test an AI tool on it
Time how long it takes you versus the AI and share that data with your boss
Post the results on LinkedIn so other people see what you can do
Look at industries already adopting AI and see where your skills could fit
AI Could Replace 6% to 7% of Workers
Goldman Sachs says AI could replace between 6 and 7 percent of all US jobs in the next decade. The first to feel it are young tech workers.
Jobs that used to go to them are now going to AI models that can write code, test software, and process data around the clock.
Unemployment for tech workers aged 20 to 30 has jumped about 3 percentage points since early 2024. That is more than four times the national average increase. If you are in that age range, you are not imagining the pressure.
