What's Ahead
Be curious. Be adaptable.
We’re going through a time of massive disruption.
AI is a big part of that, but there are other factors too.
Inflation, tariffs, government funding shifts…
All these things play a factor.
However, I focus on what I can control.
AI is one of the highest leverage skills I can learn.
This is why I am so focused and excited about AI.
As I use more tools for more purposes, I experience wonder and awe.
My advice?
If you aren’t feeling wonder and awe from AI, you probably aren’t using it.
Be curious, be adaptable, be irreplaceable.

12,000 AI Agents Shrink Teams

A top consultancy rolled out about 12,000 AI agents so smaller teams can do work that required far more people. Roughly 25% of projects now use outcome pricing, and about 40% of revenue ties to AI and tech work.
Headcount fell from around 45,000 to 40,000 since 2023 as roles shift toward supervising and integrating these tools. This is a clear signal that routine office tasks are moving to AI.
The Update:

GE Drops $3B On U.S. Factories

GE Appliances will invest over $3 billion to upgrade 11 U.S. plants and move production of refrigerators, ranges, washers, and water heaters to sites in Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
The plan aims for about 1,000 jobs and adds robotics, vision systems, and advanced testing. This is reshoring plus automation, which boosts demand for maintenance techs and controls engineers while trimming manual work. Local contractors and utilities should see steady orders.
The Update:
Search for controls technician, industrial maintenance, quality technician, and robotics technician roles near these plants.
If you want a quick pivot, enroll in short mechatronics or PLC certificates at nearby community colleges.
Small firms near the sites can pre-qualify to supply electrical, HVAC, packaging, safety gear, and calibration.
Investors can track factory automation suppliers and regional utilities for capex gains.
