“Act as my professional advisor. Based on my profession (your profession), what are the biggest threats to my financial security? What skills should I learn now? be hyper critical of my position and questions, just like Steve Jobs would be. Help me build a plan that will ensure I’m able to provide for my family long term.”

Microsoft Excel adds a Copilot function that works like a formula. Type a normal sentence in a cell such as “classify each item as in stock or back order,” reference A2 to A200, and results fill cells. AI now lives inside the sheet, so steps are visible and repeatable.
90% Use Unapproved AI

Employees at more than 90 percent of companies say they use personal chatbots for work tasks without IT approval. That hides who asked what, breaks audit trails, and makes results hard to reproduce across teams.
The practical fix is to standardize a few repeat jobs where AI already saves time and run them inside approved tools that keep a record of prompts, inputs, and outputs.
The Update:
Large companies are slow to adapt to change, but so are most people. Don’t be slow to adapt. This stat is indicative of a larger trend. People are using AI more and more each day.
On one hand, you don’t want to violate company guidelines, but on the other hand you want to work efficiently with AI.
Why not do both? Be vocal, be obvious about your intent and desire to use AI. Curious, adaptable workers are the most valuable. Speak with your leaders, IT reps, and coworkers to adapt more AI into workflows.
Men don’t sit on the sideline, we get in the game.
Be a leader.

Texas Plans 25 Billion Dollar AI Campus

Vantage will invest more than 25 billion dollars to build a 1,200 acre data center campus in Shackelford County, Texas with a planned 1.4 gigawatt capacity across ten buildings and racks that support more than 250 kilowatts each.
The first building is slated to start operating in the second half of next year. Expect a multi year pipeline of work in electrical, cooling, fiber, physical security, logistics, and on site support, and similar builds to follow land and power across other states.
The Update:
Data centers are being built all over. While AI will take many jobs, in the short term it will create many new roles.

71% Fear Job Loss

A national Reuters Ipsos poll of 4,446 adults found that 71 percent expect lasting job displacement from AI, with high concern about political deepfakes and about electricity demand from data centers.
When confidence drops, hiring shifts toward proof of work, skills tests, and clearer documentation. Inside companies, managers ask for measurable output and for steps that another person can verify.
The Update:
• Build a short portfolio with three before and after examples. Show inputs, steps, and final output on one screen so a reviewer can follow the work.
• Pick one weekly task and time it without AI and with AI. Record both and keep a four week trend so you can speak to real gains with numbers.
• Prepare a three step story for interviews. Problem, process, result. Include one number such as minutes saved or error rate reduced.
• Ask HR or your recruiter how AI is used in screening or reviews and where a human checks the result. Save the reply.
